Show and Tell : My Current Favorites

As you may know, this will probably my first ever Favorites post for this blog that does not include a video. I will be taking a break from videos probably til June. Im not quite sure yet...who knows? I might have all the time in the world next week and possibly post a video later on. :)

Today I made a collage of all of the products I am currently obsessing with. I made it a point in my videos that I will no longer create Monthly Favorites, but instead will feature a "current favorites" video. This will enable me to post favorites videos at random times, instead of a scheduled (beginning or end of the month).

Top to Bottom & Left to right

1. MAC Pro-Longwear Foundation in NC 30 $31.00

- I just recently started using this foundation again. I had it in my makeup collection for over a year and there's about 1/4 of the product left in the bottle. I stopped using it as I switched foundations often and just had this pushed back in the drawer. As I was inspired to clean up my collection. I found this and started using it with my beauty blender. Somehow I fell in love with this foundation all over again. The application with the beauty blender just made everything go on smoothly and flawless.
-This just gives me a very medium and semi-dewy finish. When it dries (dries quick) it gives a soft almost powdery feel. I still need to set it with a powder. (Personal preference)

2. Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer in Neutralizer $6-$8 depends where

-This concealer was an accidental purchase during my "no buy". I had an older Maybelline age-rewind concealer and the sponge broke off and it wouldn't twist anymore. I needed a concealer badly. Repurchased this and picked up the shade Neutralizer instead of medium(almost the exact color as my skin). I wanted to get it in light, but it wasn't available. I picked neutralizer thinking that it is in medium.
I came home and applied it, and it was too light. I was so happy because this became a really good under eye concealer and highlighter.
-This concealer is between creamy and watery. For my dry skin, i tend to be picky with my concealers as most would crease or would fade in time. This lasts me pretty much the entire day. How cool is that?
-The coverage is medium but pretty build-able.

3. Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me $2.99 Target
-It has SPF 20! thats why :) No not really, but thats pretty high for a lip product.
-My dry lips constantly needs moisture, and this baby lips gives me a lot of moisture but also has a red tint. Not stained look, which is good.
-Almost the look of someone eating a cherry pop the whole day.

4.MAC Satin Taupe eyeshadow $15.00

-Need I say more? This eyeshadow is probably the most flattering on any eye color. Satin Taupe was my very first MAC eyeshadow, and im in love with it ever since the day we've met :)
-It's a Taupe shade with a purple under tone and has a little bit of frost. Wear this eyeshadow all over lids for an instant smokey look, or even in the outer crease and lower lash-line for a daytime smokey. Dress it up or dress it down, this eyeshadow is my everyday go-to makeup.

5. Smudge Crayon Waterproof Eye Primer + Shadow + Liner in Smokes

-This is probably my best purchase for this year's IMATS in New York.
-I paid $15 but it retails for $22 STEAL!
-As in its name, it is an eye primer, shadow and liner all in one! It truly is amazing! I immediately tried this the day after I got it. It went really well as a colored eye primer, especially underneath MAC's Satin Taupe. It goes on smoothly and it blends really well. DOES NOT SMUDGE! Its crazy yeah I know, but my friend swatched it on the back of her palm and tried to smudge it out. It settled pretty quick. SO WORK QUICK :) Love love that it also came with a hidden sharpener in the bottom, so that I can able to keep the pointed tip of the crayon. This is also retractable, so the extra sharpener was just a surprise.

6.Maybelline Rocket Mascara

-This Mascara does not smudge on me at all! Other mascaras that claim to be water proof smudges 4 hours into wear and thats ridiculous considering they were suposed the be the waterproof one.
-I have this mascara in the non water proof formulation and I'm enjoying how it gives me great length and volume at the same time. Yes, I said length. Not a lot of Volumizing mascara gives length, this does. Although do not expect a lot of drama with this one.
-This is great if you are looking for some visible definition on your lashes for everyday.

That is it for my current favorites. Let me know what you think about posts like this?

Thank you and 'til next time!
Love,
Grace
