Colorstay, Photo Ready

Obviously these shades are nowhere near each other, but the reason behind this is that, the colorstay is my winter color, and the photoready is my summer shade.

Pros

-The one thing I think that is a huge PRO for this foundation is its wide range of colors. Anybody can find their shade, it also caters to what skin type you have. The finish is so comparable to the studio fix fluid from MAC.

-It costs half of what the studio fix does.

- Another Pro, is the coverage, you barely need any concealer with this foundation, unless your problem areas are very discolored.

-Shows up on pictures really well.

-Wide selection of shades for all skin types.

-Dupe for the MAC Studio Fix Fluid

-Super blend-able, always use a light hand to achieve an airbrush effect.

-I love this foundation during the hot humid summer, it stays on forever!

-The big PRO to this foundation is the Pump that it came attached with. Something that everyone complained about with the Colorstay.

- The Dewy finish gives a more subtle glow to the skin. Especially when light hits the skin.

-I like how the formulation is not as runny compared to Colorstay.

-I can say that, I do like using this foundation for when I film vides, due to the little luminosity the foundation has that reflects light, and makes your skin looks flawless on camera.

-Works really well with Natural lighting for photography.

-Doesn’t feel thick on the face.

-Dupe for the Make Up Forever HD Foundation

Cons -The one thing I noticed when I first started this foundation was, it oxidized on me. Meaning it turned orange a little after applying, I've learned that a little goes a long way. If you don’t want this to oxidize on your skin, make sure you start with a really clean face moisturized, toned and all.

-NO PUMP! It goes everywhere

-This foundation can be a bit runny.

-It’s not transfer proof.

-Might tend to look cakey (depending on application)
-Most people complained about the shade range, and I do too. (Only 8 shades)

-This foundation dries on quick, so blending can be quite a hassle depending on your routine. (work with sections)

-Doesn’t photograph well. Although on the bottle it says “photo ready”, it leaves a white cast on almost all the photos I’ve taken. (Flash Photography)

-It’s not transfer proof.

-May accentuate scarring and skin imperfections.

My overall thoughts:

I love these foundations equally, because they both serve their purpose really well. I do find the prices hurting my wallet. I try to find coupons or deals like buy one get one free, or get the other one half off.
If you are on a tight budget and would love to try out the higher end counterparts like MAC and Makeup For-Ever, try the Revlon Foundations first, because from personal experience, these are the closest dupe out there for nearly half the price.
