CAKE BOSS: Carlo's Bakeshop and our experience

Our trip to Carlo's Bake Shop
(photo heavy post)

As you probably know, I was recently in New York for IMATS. While I was there my sister and I took the chance of going to the infamous Carlo's Bakeshop that is located in Hoboken, New Jersey. Our friend Airah took us there for a short trip. It was worth it. However, as we approached the bake shop my sister and I could tell that it was packed and most likely to be closed. It was already 8pm. When we got to the from door, the guy told us that they are not letting people in anymore because they're closing. To our demise, my sister said we might as well take photos to have proof that we went to the place.

Here is our proof :)

Please don't mind our tired faces. We were running on three hours of sleep, and have been walking the entire day.

So as we were packing up my huge DSLR, the same guy that told us that the place is closing, semi-called us and asked if we wanted to come in. Of course we did! As you can see from the photos, the place is already packed like a sardines.  People we're taking photos of almost everything they could of the store.

We also tried to do the same:
Red Velvet Cupcakes, and on the back... a largely different Red Velvet mini cake
(which we brought all the way back here to Chicago andI had to bring it as a carry-on)

Tartes and more cupcakes

Fruit Tarte

Cupcakes

this is a pretty awesome baby shower cake.
I only had a few photos, as I said earlier. It was like a can of sardines. The place was well ventilated, and they also have a numbering system. As you walk in, they will have you take a number stub and wait for your number to be called. We were hanging around the bakery  for maybe about  20 minutes. Not bad at all, because even though that the place was filled with hungry people, it was well ventilated.
We finally got our order.

We bought 6 regular Red Velvet Cupcakes and one of the Mini Red Velvet cakes.

We bought it back just for this little girl. She loves Red Velvet cake. She devoured this mini cake in less than a minute.
